The more I photographed, it became clearer that I wanted to specialize in maternity, newborns and children. I felt that I was natural at it and it truly made me happy. Even the times where babies and children would cry or I would get peed/poohed/puked on, I still enjoyed it! This year my New years resolution was to challenge myself and get out of my comfort zone; so I sat down with my girl Ally of Allyson Wonderland Makeup Artistry and we hashed out the details of a boudoir shoot. For weeks, we’ve pinned our ever loving minds out and have sent text after text of ideas. After all that time, today was finally that day I stepped into my big girl undies! I have to say that today was absolutely awesome! It helped a lot that I met our model before when I photographed her sendoff and Ally is a goofball like myself.
After much discussion (and the awesome time we had today!), Ally and I have decided to join forces for a fun Boudoir Marathon! This will not be a regular occurrence as I still wish to stick with my primary love, but it will be a great way to branch out a little with Ally!
