A Celebration After Loss

When H came to me for her maternity session, there was a quiet strength in her presence. Her baby bump held more than just new life — it held years of heartbreak, waiting, and healing. After experiencing the pain of pregnancy loss, this moment was a long-awaited milestone, and one filled with deep emotion.

During our session in my Jacksonville, NC studio, there was a quiet reverence in the air. One of my favorite moments was when we brought out the flowing, silky fabric — a soft taupe tone that caught the light just right. As it wrapped around her, you could see both her vulnerability and her power. That set of images remains one of my absolute favorites — a portrait of grace, strength, and renewal.
