Simple Flower Cake Smash | Birthday Photographer Jacksonville NC

I thoroughly enjoy first birthday photography, or cake smashes as we often call it, as I get to flex my creative muscle. Not to mention it is also a messy good time! For this particular session, we decided to go with a simple flower setup which I was so happy with.

First, I started with a simple white base and built my setup from there. Next, I knew I wanted balloons, but to be sure they weren’t too overpowering I went with a simple shimmery white balloon. I then added eucalyptus and a pink wisteria-like flower that added texture and dimension to the arch.  On the floor, I added more eucalyptus with pink cherry blossoms, cream hydrangeas and some white baby’s breath. Lastly, I added LED twinkle lights to the flowers which turned out to be the perfect finishing touch of whimsy that really brought it all together.

Baby girl enjoyed all of her flowers and gave me some great toothy smiles during our session. She was very happy with her cake and all of the delicious berries on top of it.
